Introduction

The elderly and disabled in residential care homes or nursing homes usually put on adult bibs when they are having their meals for easy housekeeping. Currently, fashionable and functional adult bibs and clothing protectors are available to address the needs of this market. Yet, riffles will be found on most of the adult bibs surfaces and their hand feel will become coarse after a few times of high temperature laundry. The project has developed textile materials for the production
of adult bibs which can meet the stringent laundry requirements imposed by nursing homes and hospitals.

Application

The adult bibs are suitable for the elderly and disabled, especially for those living in nursing homes and hospitals in order to ease the workloads of the caretakers.

Technological Breakthrough

The developed textile material has good absorption properties on the front side and good water resistance properties on the back side for a long period of time without using any chemical treatment.
