The 2007 China International Forum on New Technologies of Dyeing & Finishing was successfully held on 29-30 May 2007 at Hangzhou. The focus of the Forum concentrated in the environmental concern and international requirement on the textile dyeing and finishing as well as the new technologies that improves one-time success rate in dyeing. 79% of participants came from dyeing and finishing sector. The rest were from weaving & knitting sector and materials suppliers.

The Forum divided into two concurrent sections: Internationally New, Environment-friendly Technology for Dyeing and Finishing and Improving Sample Compliance Rate in Dyeing which attracted over 200 participants from Hong Kong and China textiles and Clothing industry.

Dr. Kai Chiu Ho, Director (R&D) of HKRITA delivered a presentation on the new developments in practical technology in dyeing & finishing on international scenario during the Forum. In conclusion, the Forum was informative to both the speakers and participants. Various methods and technologies of improving sample compliance rate in dyeing were addressed and the dyeing and finishing experts have shared their practical experiences during the Forum.
