Chief Executive Officer (Ref. No.: HKRITA-CEO-01/12)

Responsibilities

  • The CEO is the executive head of HKRITA and reports to the Board of Directors;
  • To formulate effective strategies and business plans and make recommendations to the Board of Directors on implementation programmes for the realization of HKRITA’s public mission;
  • To provide strong leadership in the development of HKRITA as an organization of technological and management excellence;
  • To develop and manage HKRITA’s R&D programmes;
  • To implement an effective strategy for transfer of technologies developed by HKRITA;
  • To develop a management structure and implement management practices of a high standard of corporate governance and public accountability;
  • To engage industry, universities and industry support organizations, both local and overseas (including the Mainland), to create synergy and optimize HKRITA’s contribution.

Requirements

  • A person of high personal integrity, commitment and a strong sense of mission to contribute to the Hong Kong economy;
  • At least 10 years’ experience in textiles-related fields or other industry sectors, and is conversant with technological developments (a Master or higher degree in a relevant discipline is desirable);
  • Strong business and technical background in the development, application and commercialization of technologies;
  • Proactive and result-oriented personality, and must be able to formulate/implement plans independently;
  • Strong drive, management skills and leadership qualities; and
  • Excellent command of both spoken and written English and Chinese, including Putonghua and Cantonese.

Remarks

The new CEO will be offered a two-year contract. The remuneration includes a basic salary and a discretionary performance pay. The exact package is subject to negotiation and depends on the experience and caliber of the selected candidate.

Marketing Officer (Ref. No.: HKRITA-MO-04/12)

Responsibilities

  • To carry out marketing/ promotion plan for corporate publicity and research projects;
  • To plan and organize marketing activities and events, such as exhibitions, seminars, conferences, press conferences, etc;
  • To co-ordinate with industrial partners, universities, and trade organizations for collaborative events;
  • To co-ordinate with both internal teams and external parties for the publicity plan of the marketing activities;
  • To liaise with external vendors for design and production of promotional materials/ equipment for the marketing activities;
  • To arrange delegation visits;
  • To manage administration and promotion of membership program;
  • To maintain the clientele database; and to perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A recognized degree in Marketing, Communications or other relevant disciplines;
  • At least 4 years of relevant working experience, with experience in textiles/ garment field being an advantage;
  • Knowledge of event organization;
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese, knowledge in Putonghua being an asset;
  • A good team player with good organization skills, outgoing and adaptable personality;
  • Ability to work independently and under tight schedule; and
  • High proficiency in MS Office, especially MS Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint, Photoshop and Chinese word processing.

Accounting Officer (Ref. No.: HKRITA-ACO-07/11)

Responsibilities

  • To supervise subordinate in performing general accounting duties of full set of accounts including receipts, payments and reimbursements;
  • To review financial statements, analysis and other management accounting reports prepared by subordinate;
  • To assist in formulating and implementing the company’s internal control procedures, financial policies and guidelines;
  • To be responsible for co-ordination of the internal audit, annual statutory financial audit and other statutory & regulatory compliance tasks;
  • To assist in company secretarial functions; and to perform ad hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting with a recognized professional accounting qualification (HKICPA, ACCA or equivalent);
  • At least five years’ relevant experience in a large organization, of which in non-governmental organization is an advantage;
  • Extensive experience in using computerized accounting system, Microsoft Word and Excel;
  • High sense of integrity and self-discipline;
  • Excellent analytical ability, organizational and interpersonal skills; and
  • Good command of English and Chinese.
  • Applicants with less qualification but have more years’ of solid experience will also be considered.

Information Technology Officer (Ref. No.: HKRITA-ITO-08/11)

Responsibilities

  • To coordinate and develop IT programming projects for R&D Division;
  • To devise and maintain the intranet of the Institute;
  • To be responsible for in-house systems design, implementation, testing and maintenance;
  • To coordinate with external IT consultancy/technicians on IT infrastructure maintenance and ensure operations compliance in accordance with the Institute’s policies and standards;
  • To be the second line support on IT infrastructure and desktop computer problems;
  • To handle the procurement of IT equipment; and to perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A recognized degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent;
  • At least 3 years of solid development experience especially in human resources, procurement and project management systems;
  • Web development and portal support experience;
  • Preferably have knowledge of and hands-on experience in Microsoft Windows Server and Linux (Redhat / Fedora), Sharepoint, Exchange and firewall administrations;
  • Able to work independently under tight schedule and meet deadlines;
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and organization skills; and
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese including Putonghua.

Executive Officer (Administration) (Ref. No.: HKRITA-EO-01/12)

Responsibilities

  • To assist in reviewing and developing/ monitoring the implementation of policies and procedures on office administration;
  • To lead the Administration Section in the implementation of a full range of office administration functions, facilities and property management, office security, company insurance, office renovation and relocation, etc;
  • To be responsible for the preparation and control of office administration budget and prepare relevant reports for management review;
  • To devise, implement and co-ordinate with internal users for various administration projects; and to perform ad hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A recognised degree in Business Administration, Language or other relevant disciplines;
  • Five or more years of relevant experience in administrative functions and company secretarial work, with experience in the government departments or public organisations being an advantage;
  • A good team player with a strong sense of responsibility, good interpersonal and problem solving skills;
  • Be independent and able to work under pressure;
  • High proficiency in MS Office applications and Chinese word processing; and
  • A good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua being an advantage.
