A new 2-year term of office 2010-2012 for the Board of Directors took effect from 20 September 2010. Dr Harry Nai-Shee LEE, SBS, JP was elected by fellow Directors to be Chairman of the Board. As commercialisation work will become one of our key developments in the future, we are glad to announce that Mr Sun Tao will join us as Director, Business Development.

Mr Sun will focus his efforts on introducing the successful deliverables of our projects to interested industry parties.

“I am excited to be a team member of HKRITA, a great organisation where I can apply my knowledge and experience to make a contribution to the textile and apparel industry of Hong Kong.  As the new Director of Business Development, I am looking forward to working together with all colleagues to develop HKRITA as a world leading centre of excellence in research, development and technology transfer in fashion and textiles,” says Mr Sun.

We also welcome two more new colleagues. Ms Maggie Mok declares that, “Being the Accountant of HKRITA, my aspirations are to ensure proper utilisation of funds via effective and efficient internal controls. It is a challenge to make the language of accounting and finance intelligible to every stakeholder of HKRITA. I am excited to take this on.”

Another member, Ms Fanny Lo, the Executive Officer, shares her joy with us. “It is my pleasure to be a member of the HKRITA family. As an alumnus of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, I feel like I am going back to school while working here. I am sure that the solid experience gained in past years and the support from colleagues will help me to take up the new challenges ahead.”
