Six Project Deliverables Open for Licensing Application

HKRITA’s six most cutting-edge technologies are ready for licensing applications. Novel Relaxation Shrinkage Treatment System for Knitwear is a new relaxation processing chamber for knitwear finishing. Both Nano Bio-functional Materials Finishing Technology and Shape Memory Materials Finishing Technology address the needs of textiles chemical producers. Design and Production Solution of Durable Adult Bibs develops textile materials for the production of adult bibs which can meet the stringent laundry requirements imposed by nursing homes and hospitals...

Novel Quick Testing Sensors of Formaldehyde in Textile Fabrics and Clothing Products

Formaldehyde testing is very common in the textile industry. There is standard test for it in the market which requires special reagents, equipment and training so possibly making it difficult for people without the special training and access to the equipment to conduct the test. To make the test more user friendly, shorten the testing time and reduce its cost, this project developed a quick formaldehyde testing system to provide an alternative to the industry...

  Seminar on Smart Textiles, Innovative Drivers for Product Design

Smart textiles have been developed in the last 10 years, and are used in various kinds of textiles products such as sportswear and fitness apparel. The seminar jointly organised with CMA Testing and Certification Laboratories, IFTH-CMA Limited, Institut Francais Textile-Habillement and HKRITA on 25 August, discussed the latest developments and applications in this area.
