Development of Shape Memory Fabrics/Garments
	In the past decades, there has been growing interest in investigating the development and application of polymers with shape memory characteristic. Shape memory polymers were first developed in Japan in 1984. Shape Memory Materials are one group of very promising smart materials. They include shape-memory alloys, shape-memory ceramics and shape-memory polymers. Recruitment Gathering 2007 for Final Year Students of the Institute of Textiles and Clothing was held on 21-22 May 2007 at Fashion & Textiles Resource Centre in The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. HKRITA participated in the afternoon session on 21 May. The Director, Research and Development, Dr. K.C. HO introduced HKRITA and shared experience with the students, encouraged them to apply for job opening, despite the heavy rain, our staff and the student enjoyed the sharing.
