This project is aim to develop a sleeping thermal comfort assessment system. The system includes a well controllable bed-cover microclimate devices and a sleeping comfort assessment system. A well-controlled sleep climate is a critical part of sleeping comfort assessment infrastructure. It provides a stable and controllable environment for measuring human physiological and psychological responses, making it possible to collect reliable data and perform comfort assessment. Meanwhile, a systematic sleeping comfort assessment method will be proposed and that includes measurement of thermal physiology responses, sleep quality (Polysomnography (PSG )), and comfort perception. A sleeping thermal comfort map will be obtained. This system could be applied in comfort assessment for sleepwear and bedding textile.
