In this project, we will develop three complementary parts of an quick searching system for the development of intelligent woven fabric database: the first part is the establishment of woven fabric database platform, including detailed specifications used in commercial CAD software for weave diagram design (loom draft, denting plan, and draft plan); the second part is the digital scanning engine using FabricEye for this database, it can collect and analyze the dual-side images of fabrics for the purpose of creating image-indexing for each weave pattern style; the third part is the quick searching engine for this database, it is a specific searching engine for fabric materials, which can do searching in three kinds of ways: image, colour and key word. This project attempts to provide a quick response solution system for the collecting, analyzing, indexing, searching, designing, and prototyping of woven fabrics.
