An innovative catalytic ozonation technology will be developed in this project for dyehouse wastewater treatment & reuse. General catalytic ozonation techniques are efficient in degradation of pollutes in water. However, they cannot be used in industrial-scale applications due to plenty of reasons. In this project, a novel catalyst based on Co3O4-CNTs network will be developed for catalytic ozonation to overcome the mentioned problems. Furthermore, the synergistic effect will be achieved by combining with the 3D-electrode catalysis technology, and the efficiency of decoloration and decomposition of COD will greatly enhanced. The new technique will decrease the treatment time to 12-14 hours and 1/2 sewage tanks volume. Coupling with reverse osmosis technology, at least 70% of treated wastewater will be reused.
