Sustainable Performance Footwear by Azza Fencing

Azza Fencing Company, founded in 2020, licensed the technology developed from HKRITA’s project “Asymmetric Competition Footwear for HK Olympic Fencing Team” in the same year. The company is based in a city near Paris in France with its primary goal being to develop and produce high-performance fencing footwear for the sports industry.

In the summer of 2022, the Azza Fencing Company successfully released its first footwear model, the 15/14 collection.

High-performance fencing footwear has been produced with the same process and the same technical specifications for the last 20 years. While there have been slight improvements made on the material used, these products have been unable to provide suitable performance and protection requested by fencers.

Studies have shown that fencers who had suffered from serious back, hip and knee pain and injuries during their careers, also complained that they were unable to find footwear satisfied their needs. The biomechanical R&D phase of the studies delivered a set of technical requirements that were tested and evaluated in the laboratory, followed by trials carried out in real-world conditions. Based on these technical requirements, the newly made fencing footwear items are light, comfortable and durable.

Azza Fencing Company is now able to provide a sustainable high-performance fencing footwear with cutting-edge technologies. The footwear products are not only built with recycled material, but also offer the perfect balance of cushioning, strength and flexibility.

Joining forces with the best technical institutes and laboratories, Azza Fencing Company is committed to serving the sports industry and athletes by providing high-performance and sustainable footwear products.
