| Summary | HKRITA took part in the HKTDC Hong Kong Fashion Week for Fall/Winter 2009 between 12 and 15 January, featuring the latest research and technology development of the textile and clothing industry. Research projects displayed were Advanced Functional Surface Treatment Technology for Textile Materials, Development of Shape Memory Knitted Fabrics/Garments, Biofunctional Materials and Applications, Functional and Decorative Textile Products through Sputtering Technology, Finer Nu-Torque Cotton Yarn Production, Development of Fabric Structure Analysis and Appearance Evaluation System, High-Performance Sportswear and Devices. Research exhibits and simple demonstration were showcased. Visitors were able to have direct contact of these research results. Besides, industry practitioners with enquiries on technology issues made contact with HKRITA. The institute has already followed up the requests accordingly. |
