Job Description

Reporting to the Facilities Management Manager, the appointee will be required to:

  • provide comprehensive facilities management and technical support to ensure that the working environment is safe, tidy and efficient;
  • responsible for regular inspections, troubleshooting, conducting risk assessments of the facilities, handling emergency incidents, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and meeting the company's standards and requirements;
  • liaise with landlords, contractors, vendors and internal parties on daily operations, routine repairs and maintenance, upgrading works, relocation and renovation projects, and other related tasks for offices and laboratories.
  • responsible for preparing documents for the procurement of goods and services, as well as supporting the procurement of equipment, machinery, and systems in laboratories and R&D projects.
  • support and drive environment, health and safety objectives: assist in the development, review and implementation of policies and manuals related to health and safety, as well as coordinate and review the O&M manuals and standard operating procedures for the R&D projects to ensure full compliance by both end users and contractors;
  • assist in managing annual budgets and operating budgets, and monitor the progress and quality of work provided by external parties;
  • conduct training for the teams on emergency response, safety, system operation and other relevant topics;
  • maintain proper records and prepare reports for regular inspections and operational needs; and
  • perform any other duties as assigned.  

Requirement

  • A recognised degree in Facility Management, Building Services or a related Engineering discipline;
  • At least five years’ relevant working experience in facilities management, preferably with experience in handling E&M Projects or office relocation projects;
  • Familiar with relevant occupational safety and health regulations would be an advantage;
  • A good team player with a strong sense of responsibility as well as good interpersonal and problem-solving skills;
  • Well organized, independent, self-motivated and able to work under pressure;
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua being an advantage; and
  • Proficiency in MS Office Applications, Visio, AutoCAD and Chinese word processing.
