Job Description

Reporting to the Facilities Management Manager, the appointee will be required to: 

  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise contractors for renovation, relocation, repairs, maintenance, and risk assessments;
  • Liaise with internal units for maintenance, replacement, and upgrading works;
  • Conduct regular inspections, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with safety and energy-saving requirements (boiler cert., pressure vessel cert., FS251, WR2, etc.);
  • Prepare annual budgets and operating budgets for the facilities, monitor and control the budget, progress, quality of work and oversee contractor performance;
  • Assist in the procurement of goods and services, including tender preparation, evaluation, and documentation;
  • Coordinate and review Operation & Maintenance Manuals as well as SOPs, and ensure full compliance by end users and contractors;
  • Support and drive the Environment, Health and Safety objectives, conduct specific training on emergency procedures, safety, system operation and other relevant topics to the team; and
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A recognized degree in Property/Facilities Management, Building Services or a related engineering discipline;
  • Have at least five years of relevant experience in facilities management, with broad knowledge of the relevant disciplines in Project, PM, OSH, regulation and statutory requirements being an advantage;
  • Well organized, detail-oriented, highly independent, proactive and able to prioritize tasks;
  • Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, leadership and problem-solving skills;
  • A good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua being an advantage; and
  • High proficiency in MS Office, Visio and Chinese word processing, with knowledge of AutoCAD will be an advantage.
  • Applicants with more extensive experience may be considered for the position of Facilities Management Manager.
