Adult Bibs for Elderly Care Home (Prototype)

The proposed project aims to develop the prototype based on the deliverable of the past ITF project entitled "Development of Durable Adult Bibs for Healthcare" (Ref: ITP/023/09TP) in the total project cost of HKD499,650. The key features of such deliverable is highly water absorbency at front side of bibs and good water repellent at back side of bibs as well as very durable even under very high temperature washing repeatedly. This project uses the state-of-arts weaving and finishing technologies to develop such prototype for evaluation. To commercialize the adult bibs in healthcare industry, two local elderly care homes are supported to evaluate the bibs' performance and further enhancement will be made to meet their needs. The project deliverable is beneficial to all patients lived in elderly care homes and hospitals and provides eco-environment.
