Biofunctional Materials and Applications (II)

In the first phase, we have successfully completed the development of scalable techniques to produce nano wool and silk and applying fabric finishing techniques. With the strong support from the project steering committee, we will continue to develop functional polypeptide materials and novel application technologies from wool and silk protein materials according to the original plan. In this project, we will carry out research to study the functions of amino acids from wool and silk and develop techniques to produce functional polypeptides, which will be used to develop eco friendly functional textiles, biofunctional nano fibers and biomedical/healthcare textile products. When completing the project, we will deliver a set of technology innovations that is ready for servicing textile and clothing industry and biomedical industry.
