Cooling Mask with Stereo Design and Fabric Surface Modification

Natsu Cool is a single-use non-woven facemask that has incorporated the “cooling” function by adopting a structural design to avoid heat buildup and surface-coating with heat dissipating materials. It has a 4-layer stereo design of an optimised three-dimensional breathing zone, and the additional fabric layer is further coated with a mixture of hygroscopic cooling agents, sugar alcohols, by using binder-free fabric surface modification technology.

Application

Natsu Cool adopts a stereo design to minimise the unnecessary contact area between the facemask surface and the wearer’s facial skin to avoid heat build-up through direct thermal conduction. It is mainly composed of 4 layers of non-woven fabrics, and each layer contributes to improve the wearing comfort of the wearer in different aspects.

Technological Breakthrough

1. The surface temperature of the inner layer of the cooling mask can be up to 5℃ lower than that of a standard mask under controlled mask wearing conditions. (Q-max value: 0.471)

2. The protective performance of the cooling mask achieves BFE, VFE & PFE ≥99% and CE Standard EN14683 Type II.

3. Food-grade sugar alcohols are used the cooling agents are non-sensitizing and non-irritating. The materials are recognised by U.S. Food and Drug Administration)
