Conversion to an Industrial Scalable Technology – “Advanced Textile and Garment Manufacturing Process Technology”

To maintain Hong Kong's long-term competitiveness, there is a strong need for Hong Kong to continuously invest in applied research on advanced textile and garment manufacturing process technology. This project aims to convert a successful laboratory scale prototype technology to an industrial scalable technology. The prototype will be enhanced and packaged to make it to be high quality, and can be easily setup and implemented in textile and garment industry. The technology will enable companies to reduce inventory level, cut waste, and improve business performance across the entire organization. It will lead to an increase in efficiency, in business opportunities, and in the variety of services offered by the local textile industry, reinforcing Hong Kong's leadership as a regional hub for the sourcing of garments.
